As I have had many experiences throughout my life and career to prepare me to coach in many areas, I will list a few of my passions and where I would like to coach. If, after reading my bio on my home page, you would like me to coach in another area, please feel free to contact me. There is a belief out there that coaches only need to be an expert on coaching and not the area they are coaching in. To expand on this, I believe to be an effective coach (in addition to being an expert coach) I do need some understanding, not necessarily an expertise, in the area I am coaching in. My areas of interest, when it comes to coaching are:

• Executive/Leadership Coaching

Leaders can get stuck in their jobs or they want to excel in certain areas, need a sounding board for important decisions, motivating their staff, or wanting to explore their leadership styles. I can be of assistance in these areas as well as other areas of leadership coaching.

• Inclusion coaching:

In a world where we are becoming more diverse due to globalization, we need to learn to be more inclusive. A diverse environment is only the start of being inclusive. You can be in a diverse group without being inclusive. As an Inclusion coach, I guide you through the process of examining how inclusive you, your group, or your organization are. A quote I wrote is: “You see diversity…you experience inclusion.”

• Values coaching:

People are often disconnected from their values, in their work-life and/or in their personal lives. Values coaching helps those people to better align their work and/or personal lives with their values. This in turn assists people in feeling more “complete.”

• Conflict coaching:

Generally, people shy away from conflict and view conflict as a negative thing. Generally speaking, I view conflict as an invitation to help people understand each others’ needs and to move forward considering everyone’s needs and hopefully resolve the conflict in a way that either maintains the relationship or even strengthens the relationships between the parties involved (healthy/constructive conflict).

• Parent/Family coaching:

My former career was in Child and Youth Care. One of my strengths was and still is connecting with children, youth, parents, and the family as a whole. Whether it is helping the child/youth understand where their parents are coming from, helping parents understand their children/youth better, or assisting the family unit in communicating better with each other, I am the coach for you!

Workshops

I offer workshops in the areas of:

• Leadership and leadership styles:

It is important for leaders to figure out their leadership styles and how they impact their day-to-day actions as a leader. No leadership style is 100% effective. Generally, leaders practice more than one leadership style, even if they have one primary leadership style they stick with.

• Communication skills:

This workshop will help you become a better communicator. You will learn techniques such as paraphrasing, empathetic listening, non-verbal communication, and vocal communication.

• Understanding your style of conflict management:

This workshop focuses on you recognizing how you manage conflict. This is important as this can determine how people react or respond to you. No style is effective in every situation and if you can learn, for example, when to be or not be accommodating, you will become a better conflict manager.

• Value Self:

This type of workshop is needed in today’s world where we are expected to meet everyone else’s needs and agendas before our own. This can lead to things such as depression, a loss of self, negative stress, along with so many other negative stresses. When you learn how to understand the difference between positive and negative stress, identify your negative stressors, and learn what self-care techniques are helpful for you, and put them into practice, you will be a happier, more productive person. Whether you need to manage stress at home, in the workplace, or both, this workshop will benefit you.

I can consult on the above areas (when appropriate) as well as other topics such as organizational leadership, behavior management plans for children and youth, and communications strategies.

Public Speaking

I very much enjoy public speaking and would be honored to speak at one of your events on a topic of your choice that fits within my knowledge and experience.

At Innerventions LTPD, we believe that our services should be available to everyone. At the same time, we are a business.
